Attention: Google Review Policy Update
As of Thursday, April 12, 2018, Google announced a new update to their Terms of Service (TOS). Specifically, Google has included a new policy regarding the gathering of Google reviews which now requires review solicitation to be impartial to the sentiments of the reviewer. To facilitate fairness and equality, Google says if you are soliciting Google reviews, you must accept all positive and negative reviews rather than selecting only the positive ones.
As stated by Google in their new review policy criteria: “Don’t discourage or prohibit negative reviews or selectively solicit positive reviews from customers.”
pulseM Takes Action in Compliance with Google’s Policy Update
Effective immediately, pulseM’s review request campaigns will be redesigned to follow Google’s new review policy guidelines. All pulseM user accounts have been updated to be in compliance with Google’s new policies by always providing the customer with an avenue to leave a review on Google regardless of customer sentiment.
Additionally, customers will still have the option to not take their experience to social media, and instead submit their feedback internally to the service provider by clicking on the “Contact us directly” button which will send their concerns or appreciation directly to the business.
We are also happy to inform that the newly released pulseM Now feature is fully compliant with Google policy. With pulseM Now, all customers get a personally branded keyword which can be used to obtain social media reviews.
